Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has set a new record in the Indian Premier League (IPL), being sold for a staggering $3.2 million, making him the most expensive player in the tournament’s history.
The two-day IPL auction, taking place in Jeddah, has seen a total of 577 players up for bidding. Pant’s record-breaking sale highlights his growing stature in international cricket, alongside other top names such as England’s James Anderson and New Zealand’s all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, who are also among the sought-after players in this year’s auction.
