Reportedly, Shahid Afridi, the former captain and a prominent figure in Pakistan’s cricket team, is reportedly being considered to take on the role of a federal minister within the interim government leading up to the upcoming general elections.
Sources indicate that Shahid Afridi’s name is currently in discussions for this significant position within the interim administration. With the conclusion of the National Assembly’s term, former Senator Anwaar-ul-Haque Kakar has been designated as the caretaker Prime Minister, starting from August 14. Hailing from Balochistan, Anwaar-ul-Haque Kakar officially assumed office during a ceremony held on Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day. The inauguration event was overseen by President Arif Alvi and attended by several notable dignitaries.
