Punjab Police will use AI software to Catch peoples riding motorcycles without helmets

The Punjab Police has embarked on a pioneering initiative by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to tackle the issue of motorcycle riders neglecting helmet usage in the province.

Crafted by the Safe Cities Authority, this groundbreaking software harnesses AI to monitor and penalize individuals riding without helmets. Leveraging the surveillance prowess of CCTV cameras, the system identifies and enforces compliance.

Under the leadership of MD Safe Cities Ahsan Younis and SSP Rafat Bukhari, endorsed by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, this AI-driven solution represents a significant leap in traffic rule enforcement. The deployment of this technology is poised to play a pivotal role in bolstering safety and ensuring widespread adherence to traffic regulations throughout Punjab.
