Punjab Info Minister Criticizes KP Govt Over Swat River Tragedy

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has condemned the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government over the tragic drowning of 13 family members in the Swat River, blaming it for negligence and delayed rescue efforts. She said the victims waited over two hours for help, exposing serious flaws in KP’s emergency response. Bokhari criticized Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for inaction, even pointing out his helicopter failed to assist. She further accused the KP administration of prioritizing political agendas over public safety and ignoring vital infrastructure and rescue services.
