NDMA Issues Alert for Heavy Rains and Flooding Till July 5

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a nationwide alert for heavy monsoon rains and possible flooding from June 29 to July 5. Intense rainfall is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Potohar region, Murree, Galiyat, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, raising the risk of flash floods and landslides. Urban flooding is likely in cities including Peshawar, Swat, Charsadda, and Mardan, while water levels may rise in rivers like Kabul, Swat, and Chitral. Northern and central Punjab, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, and Faisalabad, may also face flooding in low-lying areas.
