The Punjab government has launched a new public relief initiative called “Maryam Ko Batain” to provide immediate financial assistance to low-income and deserving families during Ramadan.
The program was introduced under the supervision of Maryam Nawaz as part of efforts to support citizens affected by rising inflation and household expenses across Pakistan.
Under the scheme, eligible families can receive up to Rs. 10,000 through a fast-track assistance system. Officials said the special helpline 1000 will become active from the first day of Ramadan, enabling people facing financial hardship to directly contact authorities for support.
The government has also launched digital registration through an official web portal and mobile application using CNIC verification. Families already registered with the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) are likely to receive financial aid within 24 hours after verification, while new applicants may get assistance within four days after their details are reviewed.
