PTI Slams TV Channels for Airing Israeli Parliament Session Amid Imran Khan Ban

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly criticised local news channels for broadcasting the Israeli parliament’s live session while its leader, Imran Khan, remains banned from media coverage. In a statement on X, PTI questioned how Israel’s parliament could be shown on Pakistani TV when the country does not even recognise Israel. The controversy erupted after US President Donald Trump’s address to the Israeli Knesset was aired live by multiple Pakistani channels, sparking outrage. Former PTI leader Shireen Mazari called the move “shameful,” condemning it as appeasement of a “rogue entity.” PTI supporters also voiced anger over the ban on Imran Khan while Israeli leaders received coverage. The backlash comes amid growing public frustration over Israel’s actions in Gaza and concerns about efforts to normalise ties with Israel.
