In an unexpected development, Karachi police arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alamgir Khan during a dawn raid at his residence in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7.
Media reports indicate that a team of 10-12 police officers, including female personnel, conducted the operation.
Alamgir Khan’s spokesperson stated that the PTI leader had only arrived in Karachi earlier that morning.
This arrest comes a day after the Sindh High Court’s Election Tribunal dismissed Khan’s petition alleging rigging in NA-236, declaring it inadmissible.
