Minister for Petroleum Musadik Masood Malik clarified on Wednesday that no agreement has been finalized for importing crude oil from Russia, though negotiations are ongoing.
This statement came in response to media reports claiming a deal had been reached for Russian oil.
Speaking to the media, Malik stressed that discussions about crude oil procurement from Russia remain inconclusive.
He added that an initiative to acquire oil through a public sector entity was explored but did not proceed.
