PSX Reaches All-Time High, Crosses 88,000 Milestone

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its upward trend on Thursday, with the KSE-100 index surpassing 88,000 points during intraday trading, gaining 851.11 points (0.98%) to reach 88,045.64 points.

According to Mohammed Sohail, CEO of Topline Securities, local investors are buying aggressively due to falling bond yields and expectations of a 200-basis-point rate cut in the upcoming State Bank of Pakistan meeting on November 4.

On Wednesday, the index had also jumped over 700 points, closing above 87,000 for the first time.
