Province-Wide Court Boycott Declared by Sindh Bar Council Over Killing of Shamsul Islam

The Sindh Bar Council has announced a province-wide boycott of court proceedings on August 4 (Monday) to protest the killing of senior lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam. The council is demanding the immediate arrest of the main suspect, Imran Afridi, son of a police officer assigned to the lawyer’s security. Khawaja Shamsul Islam was fatally shot while attending a funeral in DHA Phase 6, and his son was also injured in the attack. Two of the suspect’s relatives have been detained, while the prime suspect is still at large.
