Police provide latest investigation updates to Sarim’s parents

On Monday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Karachi Central visited the grieving family of seven-year-old Sarim, whose body was found in a water tank after he went missing from North Karachi. During the visit, the SSP assured the family that justice would be served, as significant evidence had been gathered. Sarim’s post-mortem report revealed he was abducted, raped, tortured, and murdered, with signs of strangulation, a broken neck, and multiple injuries. The police confirmed he had been killed five days before his body was discovered. However, the investigation committee noted discrepancies between the evidence and the post-mortem findings, and further DNA tests and chemical analysis are pending.
