Pakistan is among the countries with the highest exposure to conflict, according to a report

According to the World Risk Index 2024 report, Pakistan is one of the countries most exposed to conflict and ranks among the 15 nations with the highest disaster risk.

After being pushed out of the top 10 by Russia last year, Pakistan has now replaced China. The top 10 countries with the highest vulnerability include Colombia, Brazil, Pakistan, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Lebanon, Iraq, Sudan, and Israel.

The countries with the highest disaster risk are the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Colombia, Mexico, Myanmar, Mozambique, Russia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Madagascar, Somalia, and Yemen.

The report highlights that crises and risks are becoming more complex and interconnected.
