Pakistan, Iran Set $10 Billion Bilateral Trade Target: PM Shehbaz

Pakistan and Iran have signed 12 new agreements to boost cooperation in trade, energy, and infrastructure, aiming to increase annual trade to $10 billion. Both nations vowed to promote regional peace through dialogue and collaboration. President Zardari appreciated Iran’s stance on Kashmir, while PM Shehbaz backed Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and called for joint efforts against terrorism. Iranian President Pezeshkian emphasized unity among Muslim nations and highlighted cultural ties by quoting Allama Iqbal. A business forum was also held to advance Free Trade Agreement talks and improve trade routes. The agreements are expected to create jobs, enhance trade, and deepen people-to-people ties.
