Pakistan Extends Ban on Indian Aircraft Airspace Use Until February 24

Pakistan has extended its ban on Indian-registered aircraft using Pakistani airspace for another month, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA). The restriction will remain in force from January 25 to February 24, 2026, until 5:00am PST, and applies to all aircraft owned, operated, or leased by Indian entities, including military flights. The PAA said the move continues a restriction that has been in place for the past nine months, introduced amid heightened Pakistan-India tensions after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty following the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), after which India also closed its airspace to Pakistani airlines on April 30.
