Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on India for One More Month

Pakistan is expected to extend its airspace ban for Indian aircraft by another month due to ongoing military and diplomatic tensions, as reported by local media. The current restriction, which began on April 24 in response to India’s airspace closure a day earlier, affects both commercial and military flights. The move followed escalating hostilities after a deadly event in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Sources indicate that Pakistan’s Aviation Division is preparing a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to continue the closure beyond the initial May 23 deadline, in line with international aviation rules allowing monthly extensions.
