Pakistan and China Sign $250M Agreements to Enhance Agriculture and Food Processing

Pakistani and Chinese companies have signed 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth $250 million to strengthen partnerships in animal fodder production and fruit and vegetable processing. These agreements aim to foster joint ventures and enhance trade between the two nations.

The signing ceremony, attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, followed a business matchmaking event organized by the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing and the Board of Investment (BOI).

The event facilitated over 150 business meetings, including 30 virtual sessions, providing opportunities for Pakistani and Chinese businesses to collaborate.

Ambassador Hashmi underscored Pakistan’s strong potential in agriculture, particularly in animal fodder and food processing, highlighting the industries’ capacity for growth and the value of foreign investment in driving expansion.
