Over 4,000 Pakistani Passports Cancelled After Saudi Arabia’s Complaint

In a major move to protect the country’s international image, Pakistan has revoked the passports of over 4,000 citizens who were deported from Saudi Arabia for allegedly being involved in begging and related criminal activities. The Ministry of Interior took this strict step after receiving a list from Saudi authorities identifying 4,300 individuals. The matter came to light during a Senate Standing Committee meeting, where Minister of State for Interior Affairs, Talat Chaudhry, confirmed that the passports were cancelled upon their return to Pakistan to prevent further damage to the nation’s reputation abroad.
