Nine terrorists killed in operations in Khyber and Lakki districts

The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported that security forces conducted operations resulting in the deaths of nine terrorists across Khyber and Lakki Marwat districts on Monday.

In Khyber’s Tirah area, an intelligence-based operation led to the killing of seven terrorists, including prominent figures like terrorist commander Najeeb alias Abdur Rehman and Ishfaq alias Muavia. These individuals were involved in various terrorist activities and were sought by law enforcement agencies. The operation also resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

Simultaneously, in Lakki Marwat district, security forces engaged a terrorist location, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists.

The ISPR statement emphasized ongoing sanitization operations aimed at rooting out any remaining terrorists in these areas, underscoring the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.

In a separate incident in Maddi area of Kulachi tehsil, Dera Ismail Khan, an FC official identified as 24-year-old Nauman was martyred in a targeted attack. Nauman’s uncle, Ramazan, recounted hearing gunshots and discovering his nephew’s body near the government boys’ high school. The attackers, who fled on a motorcycle, escaped the scene following the incident.
