Mayor Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, announces the establishment of a “Karachi Museum” at Denso Hall

Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has unveiled a significant undertaking to establish the ‘Karachi Museum’ at Denso Hall on M.A. Jinnah Road. The project received support from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Council through a passed resolution. The museum’s objective is to showcase rare artifacts, maps, and photographs, providing a comprehensive overview of Karachi’s rich history, civilization, and culture. Anticipated to be a valuable resource for historical researchers, students, and citizens interested in exploring their city’s heritage, the museum promises to play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Karachi’s historical narrative.

During a visit to historical landmarks such as Khaliq Dina Hall and Denso Hall, Mayor Wahab underscored the significance of preserving these structures in their authentic state. He expressed a steadfast commitment to preventing any alterations to the design, structure, or elevation of Karachi’s historical buildings, emphasizing the imperative of safeguarding this heritage for the benefit of future generations.

Mayor Wahab acknowledged Karachi’s illustrious past, particularly its wealth of historical buildings, and affirmed the city administration’s responsibility for their preservation.
