Heavy monsoon rains have triggered a sharp rise in skin disease cases across the city, with thousands seeking treatment daily. Dermatologist Dr. Abdullah Yahya reported that Chamra Hospital alone is receiving around 5,000 patients suffering from fungal, bacterial, and parasitic infections caused by contaminated water, open manholes, and stagnant rainwater. Civil Hospital and Jinnah Hospital are also witnessing a surge, with 500–600 and over 600 patients daily, respectively. Experts urge citizens to maintain personal hygiene and avoid polluted water to prevent infections.
