Parts of Karachi witnessed rainfall on Sunday evening as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast the ongoing monsoon spell to continue in the city until September 11. The Met Office warned of moderate to heavy showers with wind and thunderstorms, raising the risk of urban flooding and waterlogging in low-lying areas. Rain was reported in Bahria Town, Liaquatabad, Federal B Area, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Scheme-33, Gulshan-i-Hadeed and along the M-9 motorway, while other Sindh districts including Tharparkar, Umerkot and Tando Muhammad Khan also received rain. Widespread downpours are expected in several Sindh districts until Thursday.
