In Karachi’s Kaneez Fatima Society, a man killed his sister-in-law’s husband after failing to receive a ransom payment of Rs 3,000,000, according to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC). The suspect was arrested, and the victim’s body was recovered. SSP AVCC Aneel Haider reported that the victim, Iqbal, had been missing since January 19. His brother, Rizwan, informed the police, prompting the registration of an FIR and involvement of the AVCC after a ransom demand was made. The tragic incident highlights the severity of ransom-related crimes in the area.
