Islamabad on high alert ahead of possible second round of US-Iran talks

Security has been tightened in Islamabad amid expectations of a second round of talks between the United States and Iran.

Authorities have deployed additional police from Punjab and increased security in the Red Zone, with strict monitoring, checkpoints, and restricted access in sensitive areas.

The move comes as Islamabad is being considered as a possible venue for upcoming negotiations, with officials recognizing Pakistan’s role in supporting diplomatic efforts between both sides.
