High Court Lahore Order to Adopt Urdu as Official Language in Government Institutes

On Monday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ruled that government institutions must make Urdu their official language.
Judge Raza Qureshi heard the petition to make Urdu the official language in government institutions, according to the information.
The court ordered the government to carry out its directions within a month. Urdu has not been recognized as a national language, despite the strict directives from the supreme court.
Following the execution of the court orders, the government is required to submit a report to the deputy registrar’s office; otherwise, contempt of court proceedings may be pursued.
