Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is set to roll out an innovative “Hajj Without Luggage” service in 2026, aimed at making the pilgrimage significantly more convenient and stress-free for millions of pilgrims. The new initiative is designed to simplify travel logistics by removing one of the most common challenges faced during Hajj—managing heavy baggage throughout the journey.Under this system, pilgrims will no longer need to carry bulky suitcases or spend time waiting at airport baggage claim areas upon arrival. Instead, their luggage will be collected, transported ahead of time, and delivered directly to their designated accommodations in Makkah or Madinah. This streamlined process is expected to reduce congestion at airports and improve overall travel efficiency. Pilgrims will only be required to keep a small carry-on bag with essential personal items, allowing them greater ease of movement and less physical strain during the pilgrimage. By eliminating the burden of handling luggage, the initiative enables worshippers to focus more fully on the spiritual aspects of Hajj rather than logistical concerns.
