Gold Prices Fall in Pakistan Following Global Market Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan dropped sharply on Monday, mirroring a global decline in precious metal rates. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Jewellers and Gems Association (APSJGA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,300 per tola to Rs430,362, while 10 grams dropped by Rs2,829 to Rs368,966. The fall came as international gold prices slipped by $33 per ounce, trading at $4,080. Silver prices also declined, with a per tola decrease of Rs27 to Rs5,097 and 10 grams falling by Rs24 to Rs4,369. Globally, silver was trading at $48.35 per ounce. Market experts attributed the decline to weaker international bullion rates and a stronger US dollar, which continue to pressure gold and silver prices.
