Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), expressed his aspiration to see a revival of the political landscape in Pakistan resembling the conditions of 2016. While addressing the media in London, he noted that those who had attempted to remove him from the political sphere were now fading away from the scene, thanks to divine intervention.
In a tweet, he highlighted the unjust circumstances that led to his imprisonment for refusing to accept a salary from his son, while an individual with proven corruption allegations was regarded as truthful and upright. He criticized the hypocrisy of those who imprisoned him while welcoming someone accused of embezzling Rs60 billion.
Talal Chaudhry, a leader within PML-N, affirmed that elections would take place upon Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country. Chaudhry clarified that Sharif would lead the party’s election campaign. With regards to the May 9 incident, Chaudhry stressed the importance of bringing the responsible individuals to justice.
