Expecting Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms in Karachi Tomorrow

Several cities in Sindh, including Karachi, are anticipated to experience significant rainfall starting from Thursday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts heavy snowfall and strong winds across various regions of the country, beginning from February 29 and lasting until March 2.

A substantial weather system originating from the west is set to approach western areas on February 29, potentially impacting most parts of the nation on March 1 and 2. In Sindh, cities such as Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Thatta, among others, may witness heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms on February 29 and March 1. Additionally, some areas might experience hailstorms. Balochistan is also expected to encounter heavy rainfall, strong winds, and thunderstorms in cities like Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah during the same period.

Between February 29 and March 3, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is likely to face severe rainfall and thunderstorms in cities like Peshawar, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, and Mardan. Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Kashmir could also witness heavy rainfall, strong winds, and snowfall during this timeframe.
