England players leave IPL to prepare for Pakistan series before T20 World Cup

England cricketers Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, Will Jacks, and Reece Topley have made the decision to depart from their Indian Premier League (IPL) teams and rejoin the national side for the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan. This strategic move aligns with England’s preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup.

The T20 series comprises four matches set to be held in Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, and London. Despite the ongoing IPL season, Buttler, a key player for the Rajasthan Royals, has chosen to prioritize national duty over the opportunity for his team to qualify for the playoffs.

Livingstone, managing a knee issue, has also opted to leave his IPL team, Punjab Kings, to link up with the England squad. Moreover, it’s anticipated that other England players such as Jonny Bairstow and Sam Curran will follow suit and join the national team for the imminent series against Pakistan, bolstering England’s preparations.
