Dubai’s biggest airport, DXB, will host 3.3 million travelers in only 13 days

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for a significant surge in travelers, an estimated 3.3 million individuals within the upcoming 13 days. This surge is attributed to UAE residents returning from their summer excursions. The airport anticipates an average daily influx of approximately 258,000 visitors. Notably, the busiest days are projected to be August 26 and 27, potentially ushering nearly half a million passengers through the airport.

DXB maintains close collaboration with airlines, regulatory bodies, and other partners to ensure travelers encounter a seamless journey. For individuals arriving at the airport, here are some recommendations:

  • For children aged between 4 and 12 years, dedicated passport control lines are available in Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
  • Families with members aged 12 and above can utilize Smart Gates to expedite the passport control procedure.
  • Exploring the lounges, dining establishments, shops, and duty-free zones is advisable.
  • Given potential traffic congestion during peak times, opting for the Dubai Metro, which serves Terminals 1 and 3, is a prudent choice.
  • DXB provides various transportation options, including Uber, Careem, RTA Taxis, and car rentals.
  • Those arriving to pick up passengers should utilize designated parking areas or valet services. The Arrivals forecourts in Terminals 1 and 3 are exclusively accessible to authorized airport vehicles and public transportation.
