DNA delays the arrest of Sarim’s killer, say investigators

Authorities investigating the tragic murder of 7-year-old Sarim in North Karachi are facing delays due to complications with DNA matching. The prolonged submersion of Sarim’s body in water has damaged crucial DNA samples, making it difficult to identify potential suspects. This setback has significantly slowed the investigation. To overcome this challenge, experts may be consulted to enhance the DNA analysis. Meanwhile, police are intensifying their efforts by focusing on other technical evidence, including human intelligence and alternative investigative methods. On Tuesday, SSP Central revisited Sarim’s home and conducted another crime scene inspection to gather more clues.
