Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that lasting peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan is only possible if the Afghan Taliban take concrete steps to prevent cross-border attacks. He emphasized that Pakistan seeks peaceful and friendly relations with Afghanistan, based on mutual respect for borders and commitments. Speaking after the recent ceasefire agreement in Doha, the minister highlighted that the new understanding between both sides is built on trust, cooperation, and non-aggression.
