The personal information of 2.2 million Pakistani citizens has been compromised and is currently being offered for sale by hackers on the internet. These hackers assert that they have infiltrated databases from over 250 restaurants, exposing individuals’ contact numbers and credit card data.
The compromised software is widely utilized by numerous restaurants throughout Pakistan, and the stolen data encompasses transaction details, including the frequency of payments and the associated amounts.
In exchange for this data, the hackers are demanding 2 Bitcoins, which amounts to approximately $54,000. As of now, Pakistani authorities have not received any official reports regarding this security breach.
