“Cut Prime Minister’s House costs, even if it means turning off my AC,” says Caretaker PM Anwar-Ul-Haq

He has observed the hardships faced by ordinary citizens, recognizing that while important figures like the Prime Minister enjoy free electricity funded by taxpayers, regular people struggle to pay their bills. In his quest to save public funds, he intends to engage with leaders from various sectors to improve the accessibility and efficiency of electricity services.

Simultaneously, electricity providers are seeking police assistance due to ongoing protests over soaring electricity bills. The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has requested police protection to safeguard their infrastructure and assets from the demonstrators who are unhappy about the escalating cost of electricity.
