COAS Asim Munir defends Army trust on Defence Day

In his address on Defense Day, General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), underscored the profound bond between the Pakistani military and its citizens, characterizing it as a valuable asset. He noted that recent endeavors by certain factions had attempted to strain this relationship, but the army had effectively countered such efforts with prudence and restraint.

General Munir commended the extraordinary professionalism displayed by the army during the 1965 war and emphasized the soldiers’ unwavering dedication to safeguarding their homeland.

He emphasized the pivotal role of a robust economy in bolstering national defense, highlighting the potential for mutual cooperation to propel Pakistan toward economic advancement.
