Babar Azam is now ranked fourth in the latest T20I rankings

In the latest ICC Men’s T20I Rankings, significant shifts have occurred, mirroring the dynamic nature of cricket rankings influenced by player performances. Pakistan’s top batsman, Babar Azam, demonstrated his batting prowess by securing consecutive half-centuries against New Zealand. This stellar performance propelled him up the rankings, now occupying the fourth position. Similarly, Fakhar Zaman’s impressive display saw him surge by 14 places, landing at the 81st position in the rankings.

New Zealand’s Daryll Mitchell and Kane Williamson also witnessed upward mobility. Mitchell climbed nine places, securing the 37th position, while Williamson, the captain, leaped 13 places and currently sits at 59th. These advancements underscore their impactful contributions to their team’s success.

India’s Axar Patel and Yashaswi Jaiswal emerged as notable climbers in the rankings. Patel, a left-arm spinner, ascended 12 places, attaining a career-best fifth position among bowlers. Jaiswal, a promising young talent, reached a career-high sixth position after delivering impressive performances in the series against Afghanistan.
