Asia Cup 2025: Suryakumar Yadav Says India vs Pakistan Rivalry No Longer Exists

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav dismissed talk of a cricket rivalry with Pakistan, highlighting India’s consistent dominance in recent encounters. After India’s six-wicket win in the Asia Cup T20 Super Four, Yadav stressed that with India winning the majority of matches, it cannot be called a rivalry anymore. He admitted fielding errors but remained focused on upcoming crucial games, joking about dropped catches and the fielding coach’s reaction. Yadav also noted improved pitch conditions in Dubai since September 14, which influenced India’s decision to field first. The turning point, he said, came after the 10th over when Indian bowlers dismantled Pakistan’s batting line-up, restricting them to 172 before chasing the target in the 19th over.
