Anchorperson dies in a road accident in Karachi, according to police

A private TV channel anchorperson, Syed Abdullah Hassan, died in a road accident on Sharea Faisal late Sunday night, according to police. The 40-year-old was driving when he hit a footpath near a traffic signal and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police attributed the accident to speeding, noting significant damage to the front of the car.

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon visited Hassan’s family to offer condolences, stating that his contributions to journalism would be remembered. Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori also expressed his grief and extended condolences to the family, praying for forgiveness for the deceased and patience for his loved ones.
