Aleema Khan, sister of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, revealed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reportedly suggested a house arrest arrangement for Imran Khan in Bani Gala. She added that Imran Khan rejected rumors of a backdoor deal, emphasizing his party’s commitment to principled politics.
“Our brother has been in jail for one and a half years. If we wanted to make a deal, we would have done it earlier. They must show seriousness before we can discuss any demands,” she said, quoting Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad issued arrest orders for KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur due to his repeated absence in a case involving alleged illegal arms and liquor possession. Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti presided over the hearing, but the investigation officer and Gandapur’s lawyer, Advocate Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan, failed to appear.
Frustrated by the repeated absences, the court criticized the lack of respect for legal proceedings. The judge ordered the SSP Operations to arrest Gandapur and present him in court. The next hearing is set for January 21.
