After 15 years, Asia Cup makes its return to Pakistan, and the trophy was unveiled in Lahore by the Chairman of the PCB.

Amid a splendid ceremony on Wednesday evening, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proudly presented the highly anticipated trophy and schedule for the Asia Cup 2023. This edition holds special significance as Pakistan is hosting the tournament after an absence of nearly 15 years. The last time it graced these shores, Sri Lanka emerged victorious, defeating India in the final back in 2008.

The Asia Cup 2023 will feature a unique format due to the Indian team’s decision not to visit Pakistan. Consequently, four matches will take place in Lahore and Multan, Pakistan, while Colombo and Kandy in Sri Lanka will be hosting nine games. The tournament is all set to commence on August 30 in Multan, featuring the opening match between Nepal and Pakistan.

The PCB took to their Twitter handle to share a captivating video of the trophy unveiling event, inviting fans to share in the excitement. The video showcased prominent Pakistan cricket stars such as Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, and Waqar Younis, alongside officials from the PCB, joyfully revealing the exquisite trophy and celebrating the moment with enthusiasm. Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly looking forward to the Asia Cup 2023, anticipating a display of thrilling cricket skills and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
