A severe rainstorm hits Punjab and KPK, resulting in 20 casualties

Intense rainfall and flooding in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have resulted in significant damages. Tragically, at least 25 individuals have lost their lives, with many others sustaining injuries.

In Punjab, four fatalities have been reported in Khushab and Hafizabad districts, attributed to rain-related incidents. The powerful storms have primarily impacted southern districts, causing extensive destruction to residences, trees, and power infrastructure. Consequently, numerous individuals find themselves stranded in the aftermath.

Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Karak have witnessed 21 casualties and over 140 injuries due to strong winds and storms. The collapse of roofs and walls in these areas contributed to the majority of the accidents.

The situation remains critical, and efforts are underway to address the aftermath of these disasters. Local authorities and emergency response teams are actively engaged in rescue and relief operations to assist those affected and provide necessary support.

Our thoughts are with the affected communities, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. We stand in solidarity during this difficult time and will continue working together to rebuild and restore the affected areas.
