A road accident in Saudi has claimed the lives of nine Pakistani pilgrims.

At least nine Pakistani Umrah pilgrims have tragically died and five others have been injured in a car accident in Saudi Arabia. Among the deceased were women and children.

The Pakistani nationals had just completed their Umrah and were en route to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Reports indicate that the victims hailed from neighboring villages of Islamnagar and Chak 18 in the Nankana Sahib district of Pakistan. They were staying in Saudi Arabia on visitor visas.

The names of the martyrs are Zulfikar Ali, Shahbaz Ali (son of Muhammad Yunus), Umm Amara, Amaria Bibi (wife of Muhammad Tayyab Goraya), Haram Fatima (daughter of Muhammad Tayyab), Muhammad Dawood, Abuzar, Tahrim Fatima, and Harim Fatima (daughters of Muhammad Shahbaz).

The cause of the accident, which caused the car to go off the road, is not yet clear.
