A polio worker was reportedly abducted and raped in Jacobabad, according to the Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Murri. The incident occurred in Detha village, within the Moladad police station area.
The victim was taken to James Hospital for a medical examination, and the medicolegal report will confirm the assault. The worker claims two armed suspects lured her under the pretext of administering polio drops.
The suspects have been identified, and police are working to arrest them soon.
In a separate incident, a polio worker and a policeman were killed by gunmen in Bajaur during a vaccination campaign.
