Controversial religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qavi has expressed his desire to marry Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant, referring to her as “Ahl-e-Kitaab” (People of the Book).
During a recent podcast appearance, he questioned Rakhi about her marital status, asking whether she was married to a Hindu or a Muslim. Citing scholars like Dr. Zakir Naik, Professor Hamidullah, and Dr. Ahmed Deedat, he suggested that Hindu scriptures hold religious significance, implying that Rakhi falls under the category of People of the Book.
Mufti Qavi’s statement came after the host reminded him that Rakhi had previously expressed interest in marrying a Pakistani Islamic scholar and had recently performed Umrah.
