The Government of Pakistan is actively ensuring the safety and welfare of its citizens in Iran amid the changing regional situation, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed. In a recent update on X, he announced that 450 Pakistani Zaireen have already been evacuated from Iran, and arrangements are in progress to evacuate 154 Pakistani students in the first batch. He added that the Pakistan Embassy in Iraq is closely monitoring the situation of Zaireen stranded due to airspace closures, ensuring their safety and planning possible evacuation. The Foreign Office’s Crisis Management Unit is operational 24/7 to assist citizens, while Pakistani embassies in the region continue coordinated efforts to support nationals and Zaireen.
