Trump Warns U.S. Will Take ‘Very Tough’ Action if No Deal Reached With Iran

President Donald Trump said the United States would have to take “something very tough” if a deal with Iran is not reached, in an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 published Tuesday. He indicated that a second US aircraft carrier might be sent to the Middle East amid rising tensions over Iran’s nuclear program and its crackdown on protesters. Trump noted that Iran “wants to make a deal very badly” and described recent talks in Oman as “very good,” with both sides planning further negotiations. The comments come after Washington previously threatened military action, while Iranian officials emphasized their red lines and warned against any US attack.
