Solar panel prices in Pakistan have dropped by more than 50%

Recent reports indicate a significant and unexpected drop in the prices of solar panels within the country. Specifically, the cost of a 70,000-watt solar panel has drastically reduced to 30,000 rupees.

This noteworthy shift in pricing is ascribed to disruptions in the manufacturing of solar cells and photovoltaic (PV) modules, commonly known as solar panels.

The disruption is part of broader initiatives aimed at reducing China’s dominance in the solar manufacturing sector. In pursuit of this objective, substantial projects were initiated in the United States and Europe to establish large-scale facilities for the production of PV cells and modules.

Nevertheless, these endeavors have encountered challenges, such as delays and completion issues, impacting the overall dynamics of the solar panel market.
