Sindh Police Failed? Man killed in front of his son during a robbery in Karachi

KARACHI: In a distressing incident, robbers shot and killed a man and injured his son during a robbery at Karachi’s Korangi Coast Guard Chowrangi area.

According to details, the robbers entered a gas filling shop at Korangi Coast Guard Chowrangi and opened fire when met with resistance, killing Zafar and injuring his son, Wahab.

Police reported that despite being injured, Wahab managed to seize a pistol from the robbers and fired at them, causing the robbers to flee the scene.

The injured robbers later sought treatment at Jinnah Hospital, where Wahab identified them, leading to their arrest by the police. The robbers were identified as Qadir and Ehtisham. Wahab informed the police that they work in the LPG business and that their shop had been robbed three times before. He recognized the robbers when they entered the shop this time.

Wahab recounted that after the robbers shot his father, he managed to snatch the pistol from one of them and shot both robbers, injuring them. He sustained two gunshot wounds during the incident. The robbers were residents of Bengali Para.

The injured son demanded justice, stating that he witnessed his father’s murder.
