Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved a Rs25 billion plan to rebuild 315 streets and 60 major roads in Karachi, directing authorities to ensure proper streetlight installation and drainage systems. The decision came during a high-level meeting attended by key officials, including Local Government Minister Nasir Shah and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. Officials briefed that recent heavy rains and ongoing mega projects have severely damaged the city’s infrastructure, causing major traffic issues. Mayor Wahab highlighted that hundreds of internal streets are in poor condition, prompting the Chief Minister to order fast-tracked completion of all rehabilitation projects.
